Access Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) on Your Mac Using the Remote Desktop App

Access the Azure Virtual Desktop (a.k.a., AVD) on your Mac computer using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.

Install and configure Microsoft Remote Desktop

  1. Install and launch Microsoft Remote Desktop via the App Store on your Mac.
  2. Select the Workspaces tab at the top of the app window.
  3. Select the Add Workspace button.
  4. Enter https://client.wvd.microsoft.com and select Add.
  5. Sign in with your NetID and authenticate with Duo.

You will see the resources from AVD as pictured below. These will be saved so that whenever you launch the Remote Desktop app and select Workspaces, AVD will show you the resources you can access.
