Configure your Android device to connect to the tu-secure wireless network, the recommended wireless network for TU faculty, staff and students. tu-secure provides the most secure and stable connection to the university network and access to your H: drive and other secured resources. Connecting your Android Device to tu-secure
To configure an Android device to connect to tu-secure, follow these steps:
- From the Home screen, swipe your notification pane down.
- Select the gear icon to open your settings page.
- Select Network & Internet.
- Select the Internet submenu.
- Under Wi-Fi, ensure Wi-Fi is enabled, that the slider is blue.
- Select tu-secure from the list of available wireless networks.
- An authentication menu will appear.
- EAP method: Select PEAP.
- Phase 2 authentication: Select MSCHAPV2.
- CA certificate: Select Use system certificates.
- Online Certificate Status: Select Do not verify.
- Domain: Enter towson.edu.
- Identity: Enter your NetID username and leave Anonymous identity blank.
- Password: Enter your NetID password.
- Select Connect.
- Your device will join the network and display "Connected" under tu-secure in the list of Wi-Fi networks.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Toggle airplane mode on and off; it's analogous to rebooting your Wi-Fi radio.
- Forget the Wi-Fi network and then reconnect to it. If the connection settings are the problem, this should fix it.
