WordPress is the browser-based web publishing solution best suited for personal and organizational sites at TU, including:
- Student personal sites (wpstudents.towson.edu)
- Faculty and staff personal sites (wp.towson.edu)
- Student organization sites (wp.towson.edu)
- Department and other organization sites (wp.towson.edu)

Acquire your student site
- Open wpstudents.towson.edu and select the LOGIN OR CREATE YOUR SITE button.
- Select the Log in with Towson University NetID button and sign in with your NetID username and password.
After you sign in, your browser will display a page nearly identical to the page displayed before you signed in. Look for the WordPress admin toolbar (pictured below) as an indication that you have successfully opened your WordPress site. Select My Sites from the toolbar to open your dashboard.
Acquire your faculty or staff site
- Open wp.towson.edu and select the LOGIN OR CREATE YOUR SITE button.
- Select the Log in with Towson University NetID button and sign in with your NetID username and password.
After you sign in, your browser will display a page nearly identical to the page displayed before you signed in. Look for the WordPress admin toolbar (pictured above) as an indication that you have successfully opened your WordPress site. Select My Sites from the toolbar, then select the desired site from the drop-down menu to open your dashboard.
Request a site for your student organization
The Student Activities Office handles the initial processing of WordPress requests from student organizations.
- Open the Email/Website Request Form page.
- Select the NEW SUBMISSION button in the top right corner.
- Complete and submit the form. Student Activities will contact you with additional instructions.
Request a site for your department or other organization
The OTS Faculty/Staff Help Center processes WordPress requests from departments and other organizations.
- Open a TechHelp ticket from the TigerWeb, WordPress & Web Apps services page.
- Complete the form, describing the desired site in as much detail as possible.
- Select the Submit button.
OTS will send you an email confirming receipt of your request. You may reply to TechHelp email messages to communicate with OTS regarding your request.
