Learn the recommended technique for using the large-format rotary trimmer (in CK 35) to cut away unwanted parts of a poster. For the cleanest edges, cut only one sheet at a time. Also, be sure to press the cutting wheel against the steel edge of the cutting deck as you pull it.
Use the CK 35 large format trimmer
While this is not a top-of-the-line trimmer, it is perfectly functional if you apply the proper technique. The cutting head (i.e., the plastic handle that slides along the tubular rail) includes a cutting wheel. When you pull the cutting head along the rail, the cut occurs where the wheel and the steel edge come into contact. Consequently, it is important to keep the wheel tight up against the edge for a clean cut (rather than a jagged tear). Admittedly, this can take a little practice but it is well worth mastering.
