No Sound from Classroom Media Player

Troubleshoot

  1. Crestron control systems include a No Sound feature, which is indicated on the control panel when selected. Press the No Sound button to deselect it; the indicator will disappear, and the sound should resume. Use the Volume menu to adjust the audio level.
  2. Crestron control systems also include a Mute feature for some system inputs. To check if the media player is muted, navigate to the Volume page and then select the Advanced Volume Controls page.
  3. Select the correct input source. For classrooms with Dual Image capabilities, audio will come from the last source selected. Reselect the source for your audio, and the sound should resume.
  4. If the classroom uses a handheld remote control, press the Mute button to verify the mute status and use the Volume control to adjust the audio level.
  5. If the above steps fail to resolve the issue, report it by calling 4-TECH at 410-704-8324 or using the CCLT chat service. Leave a note on the lectern to inform other instructors of the problem.
