Embed a Video in the Blackboard Content Stream

Embed Video in the Blackboard Content Stream:

  1. Navigate to https://blackboard.towson.edu.
  2. Log in with your TU NetID and Password.
  3. Enter the desired course and select the + (plus sign) under Course Content. A drop-down menu will display.
  4. Select Content Market from the drop-down menu.
  5. Once inside the content market, scroll down and select Panopto Video Embed. Blackboard will display a menu where you can
    • Embed an existing video in the Panopto course folder
    • Upload a video from your device
    • Record a new video to embed
  6. Once you have selected the video you want to embed, a bar will appear at the bottom of the screen that reads Video Embed Options.
  7. Select anywhere on this bar to open the options.
  8. After you are satisfied, select the green Insert button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
  9. You will now be able to see that the video has been embedded in the content stream.

Embed Video in a textbox:

  1. Follow steps 1-2 above
  2. Locate the textbox you'd like to embed the video in
  3. Click the + (plus sign) to the far right of the textbox options
  4. Select Content Market
  5. Once inside the content market, scroll down and select Panopto Video Embed. Blackboard will display a menu where you can
    • Embed an existing video in the Panopto course folder
    • Upload a video from your device
    • Record a new video to embed
  6. Once you've selected the video you want to embed, a bar will appear at the bottom of the screen that reads Video Embed Options
  7. Select anywhere on this bar to open the options
  8. After you are satisfied, select the green Insert button in the bottom right corner of the screen
  9. The video should appear in the textbox.
