Panopto Best Practices for Students

Use these best practices when accessing Panopto.

Logging in to Panopto

  • Panopto can be accessed through your course, or by going directly to https://towsonu.hosted.panopto.com.
  • Log into Panopto using your TU Email and password. If you're already logged into another service, it may automatically log you in.
  • Your "My Folder" area is private, only available to you, and can be used to record videos for assignments.

Accessing Panopto Videos

  • Panopto may be linked or embedded inside your Blackboard course.
  • The course Panopto folder can be accessed by clicking on Books and Tools on the left-hand menu inside your course, then Panopto Folder.

Access and Technical Issues

  • Log in directly to Panopto using the link above.
  • Open the Panopto course folder by clicking on Books and Tools inside your course, then selecting Panopto Folder. 
  • If you still cannot access the link, contact your professor.
  • Contact TU Blackboard Support at 410-704-5151 or create a service request. Include the course number and section and the video name and location inside the course.
