The safest way to transport a poster (large-format print) is to roll it and place it in a plastic or cardboard tube. If you don't have a tube, here's another approach.
Secure a rolled poster
After printing and rolling a poster, you might be inclined to use a rubber band or a piece of tape to secure it, as pictured below. However, these approaches are likely to tear or adhesive-scar the poster.
Instead, grab a piece of scrap paper and wrap it around the poster. Finish by securing it with a piece of tape, and you’re good to go!
