Close a Level 0 project

If project was successfully completed and ready to be closed:

  1. Go to Actions, select Close.
  2. Select Status: select Inactive radio button. Active allows for continued reporting of time and expenses. Projects that are closed should not be able to have time reported.
  3. Copy any critical files/docs to the File Cabinet (project files can't be accessed once the project is closed, unless put in the File Cabinet).
  4. Check the box to close any unfinished Tasks, Issues or Risks
  5. Under Status, select Completed-Met Expectations.
  6. Change Health to Green (if it isn’t already green).
  7. Change Percent Complete to 100 (if it isn’t already complete).
  8. Update Comments, indicating why it's closing.
  9. Select Save.

If project was not completed or is being canceled:

  1. Go to Actions, select Close.
  2. Select Status: select Inactive radio button. Active allows for continued reporting of time and expenses. Projects that are closed should not be able to have time reported.
  3. Copy any critical files/docs to the File Cabinet (project files can't be accessed once the project is closed, unless put in the File Cabinet).
  4. Check the box to close any unfinished Tasks, Issues or Risks
  5. Under Status, select appropriate status (Completed-Did Not Meet Expectations or Canceled)
  6. Change Health to appropriate color.
  7. Update Percent Complete to appropriate percentage.
  8. Update Comments, indicating why it's closing.
  9. Select Save.
