When a poster fails to print correctly the first time, try the following steps:
- Convert the file to PDF, if necessary.
- Open the file in Acrobat Pro DC.
- Select Tools in the upper left corner of the Acrobat window.
- Select Optimize PDF under Protect & Standardize.
- Select Reduce File Size on the Optimize PDF toolbar.
- Select OK to close the dialog; a Save As dialog will open.
- Give the file a unique name and save it where you can find it.
- Print the new version.
When a poster exceeds 42 inches in width, rotate it before printing:
- Convert the file to PDF, if necessary.
- Open the file in Acrobat Pro DC.
- Select View> Show/Hide> Rulers and Grids> Rulers to check the dimensions.
- Select Tools in the upper left corner of the Acrobat window.
- Select Organize Pages under Create and Edit.
- Hover over the thumbnail and select the clockwise/counterclockwise button to rotate 90 degrees.
- Save the file and print.
