Navigating Courses Area

Use Blackboard Ultra to quickly navigate your courses and search, filter and favorite content.

Change courses to Tile view

1. Navigate to https://blackboard.towson.edu.
2. Log in with your TU NetID and Password.
3. Select Courses.
4. Select the Waffle Icon located at the top of the course page.
5. Your courses will now be in tile view.

Find your courses 

The course area is set to the Current Course term by default. Select the term you want to view and search, then favorite the courses you want to be easily accessible. Favorite courses will stick it to the top of your course list.

1. Navigate to https://blackboard.towson.edu.
2. Log in with your TU NetID and Password.
3. Select Courses.
4. At the top, select the drop-down arrow next to Current Courses.
5. Select your Term.
6. Favorite your courses by selecting the Star Icon.
   • Each time you enter the Courses area in Blackboard, you will see your favorite courses at the top.
   • To remove a course from the favorite list select the Star Icon again.

Be aware of search boxes and hidden courses 

Search box 

• The Search box retains the search criteria you type in the field, even if you leave Blackboard and return, or change the term or filter.
• You will always need to clear the search field by selecting the X.

Hidden courses 

Users can hide a course from their view, even if the course is marked as a favorite. Once you hide a course, you must use the filter option to find the course and unhide it.

1. Select the Filter drop-down arrow.
2. Select Hidden from me.
3. Select the 3-dot menu option of the course tile and select Show Course.
