Change Legal, Chosen/Preferred Names, or Pronouns (for Faculty/Staff and Students)
Students and faculty/staff should follow the directions outlined at http://www.towson.edu/chosenname for requesting changes to their legal or chosen/preferred names. The link is the authoritative source for instructions, but in summary, the process is:

Legal Name – students submit a form to the Registrar’s Office, and faculty/staff will submit a request to Human Resources through myTU

Chosen/Preferred Name/Pronouns – students, faculty and staff use the form at the link above to submit a request for approval by the Office of Inclusion and Institutional Equity (OIIE)
The updated legal and chosen/preferred names will automatically be copied into the NetID Management system within a business day after approval.
Display Name
To update how the name is displayed in certain systems, the displayed name options are available once logged into NetID Management under Manage an existing NetID profile (at http://www.towson.edu/netid).
