eduroam (education roaming) lets students, researchers, and staff connect to the Internet at any participating school, university, or research facility using their home school credentials.
Towson University NetID holders can connect securely to the global eduroam Wi-Fi network at participating (non-TU) institutions using their TU credentials, eliminating the wait/need for a guest account.
How to connect to eduroam Wi-Fi at visiting institutions:
- Connect to wireless SSID "eduroam"
- Enter your credentials in the form of your TU email address (i.e. someone@towson.edu or someone@students.towson.edu ) and your Towson University NetID password.
- You may be prompted to accept the Towson University certificate (wireless.towson.edu). Press Accept.
- You are now connected to eduroam.
Important things to keep in mind when connecting to eduroam Wi-Fi:
- Besides the general Internet and web access, other applications and network resources might be restricted by the visiting institution.
- Contact Towson University OTS Technology Support Desk ONLY for eduroam authentication related issues. We do not have any other control on the eduroam network.
- At this time Towson University does not broadcast eduroam Wi-Fi. On the TU campus continue using tu-secure or tu-openaccess.
