Reset your forgotten or expired NetID password by answering the security questions you set up when you first activated your account. You can also use a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your mobile phone or email.
Reset your NetID password using your account security questions
- Open towson.edu/netid in your browser.
- Select reset a password with existing security questions under Manage NetID Password. (SHOW ME)
- Enter your user information into the required fields to verify your identity.
- Select the SUBMIT button.
- Type your Answers to the security questions you selected when activating your account.
- Select the SUBMIT button. If you're a student, skip to Step 8; if you are faculty or staff, continue with Step 7.
- Validate your credentials via the DUO multi-factor authentication process.
- Enter a new password in the New Password field. Your new password must follow the rules listed on the page.
- Re-enter the password in the Re-type Password field.
- Select the RESET PASSWORD button. The page will confirm that you have successfully reset your NetID password.
- Select the Logout button in the upper right corner of the screen to close the page.
