Video files need to be stored on our digital media platform Panopto. All Blackboard courses have access to Panopto. You can choose to record your videos using Panopto, but this document will cover uploading videos not recorded using Panopto into your course. Additionally, recordings from Zoom can be uploaded to Panopto.
Upload Videos through your Blackboard Course
- Navigate to https://blackboard.towson.edu/
- Log in with your TU Email and Password
- Select your desired Course
- Select View course & institution tools, then Panopto Folder
- Select Create at the top and select Upload media
- Locate the file (or files) to upload and select Submit
Upload Videos through Panopto Website
- Navigate to https://panopto.towson.edu
- Log in with your Email and Password
- Locate the folder you would like to upload the video to
- Select Create at the top, then select Upload Media
- Locate the file (or files) to upload and select Submit
Download Recordings from Zoom
Please Note: Videos will only be available on the Zoom cloud for 30 days after the recording. After 30 days, the video is deleted and will only be accessible through Panopto.
- Navigate to https://zoom.towson.edu and select Sign In
- Log in with your TU NetID and Password
- Select Recordings on the left
- Locate the recording you wish to download
- Under the File Size heading, select on the number of recordings listed
- On the next page, select which recording you’d like to download. Panopto will only accept video files so you cannot upload the chat or audio transcriptions.
- Save the video(s) to your computer. You can now upload them to Panopto, using the steps above
Download Recordings from WebEx
- Navigate to https://towson.webex.com and select Sign In
- Log in with your TU NetID and Password
- Select Recordings on the left
- Locate the recording you wish to download
- To the far right, select the download icon (an arrow pointing down above an underscore)
- The video will now be saved to your computer and you can upload it to Panopto, using the steps above
Export PowerPoint with Audio to Video
- Open your PowerPoint file with recorded audio
- Click File in the top left corner
- Select Export
- Select Create a Video
- Click Create Video in the middle of the screen
- Choose the location to save the new video to and rename the video if needed
- Click Export
