If needed, reset your forgotten or expired NetID password using a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your mobile phone or email. You can also use your NetID Security Questions.
Reset your NetID password using a verification code
- Open https://netid.towson.edu/identity/self-service/tow/smsreset.jsf in your browser.
- Enter your user information into the required fields to verify your identity and request a One-Time Passcode.
- Select the SUBMIT button.
- Select your Preferred Contact Method to receive your one-time passcode; you may choose Cellphone, Email or Both.
- Select the SEND ONE-TIME PASSCODE button. The passcode will expire in 30 minutes.
- Enter the one-time passcode you received in the Verification Code section.
- Select the VALIDATE button. A Create New Password page will appear.
- Enter a new password in the New Password field. Your password must follow rules listed on the page.
- Re-enter the password in the Re-type Password field.
- Select the RESET PASSWORD button. The page will confirm the successful reset of your NetID password.
- Select the Logout button in the upper right corner of the screen to close the page.
