Zoom Meetings Automatic Retention Information

Summary

[Students, Faculty & Staff] Zoom's cloud-recorded meetings are accessible on Zoom for 30 days. These recordings are automatically transferred to Panopto, where they remain available for a minimum of two years.

Body

When a host uses the cloud recording feature in Zoom, the recordings are stored on both TU's Zoom and Panopto platforms, each with its own automatic retention policy.

1. Zoom: Cloud recordings are automatically deleted from TU's Zoom service 30 days after the meeting date.

2. Panopto: Recorded Zoom meetings are copied to the host's Panopto account within 24 hours of the meeting's end. These recordings are automatically archived if they are note accessed for two years.

The host has the flexibility to delete recordings from either their Zoom or Panopto account at any time.
