Locate and move a Zoom recording within Panopto

Once you've recorded in Zoom, locate the recording in Panopto. Zoom recordings will be sent to Panopto within 24 hours of the recording being available in the Zoom cloud.

  1. Open https://towsonu.hosted.panopto.com in your browser.
  2. Log in with your TU NetID and Password. You will be directed to your My Folder area.
  3. Select the Meeting Recordings subfolder.
  4. Locate the recorded session. The name of the video will be the session name, and the session information will be listed beneath it.
  5. Select Settings.
  6. Select Edit next to the folder name.
  7. Select the corresponding course folder from the drop-down list, then select Save. The video will move to that folder.

A Zoom recording has separate files for transcripts and chat messages. In Panopto, the transcript becomes the captions and the chat messages display in the discussion section of the video. Zoom recordings are only available in the Zoom cloud for 30 days. After the 30 day limit, the recording will only be available in Panopto.
