Here's how to change the security options of a PDF document to prevent the user from making changes and/or printing. You may access the software through the TU virtual workspace if Adobe Acrobat DC is not installed on your machine.
Restrict document editing and printing
- Open your document in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
- Select File.
- Select Properties, or Ctrl+D on Windows or Cmd+D on Mac. The Document Properties window will appear.
- Select the Security tab.
- Change the Security Method to Password Security.
- Once the Password Security Settings window opens, check the "Restrict editing and printing of the document" box.
- Using the Changes Allowed drop-down menu, select the level of protection you want to apply to the document.
- Select OK. The protection settings will be applied after you save your document.
