Upload files to Virtual Workspace (VW) by dragging and dropping them on the VW desktop or by saving them to your TU OneDrive.
Upload your files via Drag and Drop
- Open vw.towson.edu and log in with your TU NetID.
- Open Student Desktop from the VW page and log in to Windows when prompted. (All TU students have access.)
- Use Windows File Explorer or MacOS Finder on your computer to locate the file to upload.
- Drag and drop the file onto the VW (Windows) desktop. A box in the upper right corner will confirm a successful upload to the Remote Desktop Virtual Drive on RDWebClient folder.
- Open File Explorer from your Student Desktop Start Menu.
- Select Remote Desktop Virtual Drive on RDWebClient under This PC in the left navigation panel to access your uploaded file(s) as shown in the image below. You can drag and drop files from here into another folder if you like.
Upload your files via OneDrive
- Verify the file you wish to access in VW is saved within your TU OneDrive.
- Open vw.towson.edu and log in with your TU NetID.
- Open Student Desktop from the VW page and log in to Windows when prompted.
- Select the OneDrive (blue cloud) icon in the lower right corner of your VW desktop to verify that your files are synced.
- To access your OneDrive files
- Select the Open Folder button at the bottom of the panel you opened in Step 4
or
- Select OneDrive in the Windows File Explorer navigation panel
